During his visit, Professor Marco Mora delivered a workshop entitled “Neurotechnologies in Human Talent Management: Ethics, Technology, and Your Role in Shaping the Future”, introducing students and staff to the latest developments in the application of neuroscience and neurotechnologies to recruitment and talent management.
The interactive session explored how tools such as eye-tracking and facial coding can be used to analyse emotional and cognitive responses during recruitment processes. Participants also had the opportunity to observe live data analysis demonstrations, discuss the ethical implications of AI-driven hiring systems, examine emerging regulatory frameworks, and reflect on how technology can support fairer and more transparent recruitment practices.
Beyond his teaching activities, the mobility aimed to strengthen academic cooperation between ESTG and the Tecnológico de Costa Rica by promoting the exchange of knowledge, innovative teaching methodologies, and research perspectives. The visit also contributed to the internationalisation strategies of both institutions, opening opportunities for future collaboration in teaching, research, and staff and student mobility.
Marco Mora’s participation in the International Week reinforced ESTG’s commitment to providing its academic community with access to international expertise and emerging topics that address the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
