Invited Speaker: Bojan Matkovski, Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad, Serbia.
Prof. Dr. Bojan Matkovski is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. His main fields of expertise include agricultural economics, rural development and policy, agribusiness management, competitiveness of the agri-food sector and sustainable food economics, with a strong focus on the EU integration process. He is also a member of CIICESI – Centre for Research and Innovation in Business Sciences and Information Systems.
He has more than ten years of teaching experience at bachelor, master and PhD level. At undergraduate studies, he teaches Introduction to Agricultural Economics and Agri-food Marketing. At master studies, he teaches Project Management in Agribusiness, while at PhD level he teaches courses related to Serbian agriculture, EU integration and scientific research writing.
He has published around 90 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, including publications indexed in the SSCI/SCI list. His research addresses EU integration processes and their influence on agricultural and rural development, competitiveness of the agri-food sector and agri-environmental measures. Throughout his academic career, he has been actively involved in numerous national and international research and Erasmus+ projects.
As part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme, he will deliver a workshop titled Global Integration of Food Supply Chains. The workshop will address contemporary trends on the demand side of global food markets, as well as vertical and horizontal integration within agri-food supply chains under conditions of global uncertainty.
