This Challenge, “BLUE is the new black: urban micro-logistics and the coexistence of quickness, efficiency, and sustainability – what challenges?“, will be held in collaboration with Bairro (www.bairrodirect.com) and will be dedicated to proposing solutions to improve the communication of the benefits of next-day, same-day, and instant-delivery.
Bairro’s mission is to “simplify logistics, shorten the path between brands, producers and final consumers (…) facilitates the delivery of products quickly and efficiently, improving the experience of the entire distribution channel”. One of the challenges it is confronted with is for potential partners to understand the support it can offer them in leveraging online commerce and its deliveries.
PROGRAM
The Business Challenge will take place between November 23rd and 27th, at the following times:
- 23rd and 24th November from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm
- 25th November from 9:30am to 4:30 pm
- 27th November from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm

TARGET GROUP
Groups of 3 to 5 people can participate. Each group must be composed of at least 2 students and 1 ESTG teacher/researcher/scholar. The remaining members can be other members of the polytechnic university of Porto, including ERASMUS students.
REGISTRATION
Participation is free, but subject to registration until the 17th November.
PRIZE
The best solution submitted to the Business Challenge will be awarded with a surprise prize, to be announced at the end of the challenge.
