BIP in Sustainable Logistics involved the participation of ESTG students

ESTG students participated in a BIP organised by the University of Maribor, Faculty of Logistics.

Integrated into the 11th International Logistics Summer School, the BIP with the theme Sustainable Logistics: Theoretical Heroes Tackle a Real Green Challenge occurred between the 2nd and 10th September.

The programme included workshops, debates, site visits and opportunities to interact with colleagues and experts in sustainable logistics: plan, analyze, optimize, and evaluate information, materials, flows, layouts, systems, and technologies to improve Industry 4.0 logistics; Measure company’s activities against the Sustainability Maturity Path; Plan calculation of CO2e emissions for logistics company; Know how to apply and select data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud computing techniques and technologies to support IIoT implementation in logistics.

This challenge was partly realised in a real company. After solving the green challenge, our heroes acquired open badges which are recognised proof of the learning outcomes that the trainee has achieved after a short learning experience, according to transparent standards and requirements and after assessment by an independent assessor.

We would like to thank the University of Maribor for the invitation!
