Involved students, professors and staff from educational and innovation institutions in various European countries with the aim of developing a wheelchair adapted to work environments.
Participants in this Blended Intensive Programme collaborated on the development of an adapted wheelchair for work environments, learning how to respond to the physical and cognitive needs of users, including people with neurodivergent conditions. The programme included a total of five online learning modules, two asynchronous sessions and a five-day intensive face-to-face workshop at Porto Design Factory, PORTIC.
It promoted a series of workshops and co-creation sessions, which allowed students to develop practical solutions to facilitate mobility and the inclusion of people with functional diversity in the workplace. Over these five days, the participants worked in multidisciplinary teams, combining design, engineering and technology knowledge to propose a wheelchair adapted to the specific requirements of work environments.
Thanks to all the participants for sharing their knowledge.
