Simulation work in the field of environmental geosciences has become essential, both in research and in the industry world.
Thus, the kick-off meeting in Orléans intends to introduce the basic principles of four simulation techniques widely used in environmental geosciences:
Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Digital Rock Physics and Microfluidics (DRP & MF), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Reactive Transport Modeling (RTM).
Applications of these techniques in real-world systems will be presented during morning seminars by international experts from academia and industry.
Students will choose a combination of two of these techniques for follow-up hands-on afternoon sessions, which will be complemented by group projects mentored online by recognized local experts.
