International Workshop “Reasons for Corporate Failures”

The School of Management and Technology at P.PORTO invites the community to participate in the International Workshop.

Date: 15th May 2024, from 02.00 pm to 03.30 pm, Auditorium 2

This workshop will explore the distinctions between bankruptcy and insolvency, provide a historical overview of organizational failures, analyse the attributes of corporate success, classify the causes of failure, present a case study, and identify the symptoms and warning signals of impending corporate failure.

Invited Speaker: Julia Koralun-Bereźnicka – Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk, Poland

Julia Koralun-Bereźnicka has been an associate professor at the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk, Poland, since 2009. She completed her habilitation at the Faculty of Management, Computer Science, and Finance at the Wrocław University of Economics in 2017. Her teaching experience covers areas such as corporate finance, financial analysis, equity valuation, and corporate failures. She publishes internationally, with her academic interests primarily focused on the effects of country, industry, and firm size in corporate finance.
