The ceremony of the new ESTG’s President took place on 18th July 2022, in the Auditorium Prof. Doutor Luís Soares, with the presence of the President of Polytechnic of Porto, Paulo Pereira, representatives of the local authorities, public and private institutions of the entire region of Tâmega and Sousa, professional orders, management bodies of the organic units of P.PORTO, companies and the entire academic community.
Paulo Pereira, President of Polytechnic of Porto, underlined the relevance of ESTG in the strategic development of Polytechnic of Porto. The President stated that a substantial investment in infrastructures and equipment is foreseen, thanking the President of the City Hall of Felgueiras for all his efforts.
Luís Lima stated his total commitment with the School, as well as the policy of shared management, transparency and dialogue that intends to implement. The President reminded the year of 2013, when, during his previous mandate, the ESTG Research Center was created, the CIICESI – Innovation and Research Center in Business Sciences and Information Systems, that ensures the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge to the region of Tâmega and Sousa.
João Paulo Magalhães, Marisa Ferreira and Vanda Lima as Vice-presidents, and Catarina Martins as Administrator, completes the team for this new mandate .
